WRS Overview

The State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) shares Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) responsibilities with the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF). SWIB invests the trust funds and ETF administers individual benefits.

ETF is responsible for administering the WRS benefit programs and maintaining individual accounts for current and former employees. Information about the following can be found at the ETF website:

  • Core Fund dividend and Variable Fund adjustment process

  • Determining how participating in the Variable Fund can affect your pension
