SWIB CIO Named to Chief Investment Officer Power 100 List

SWIB Chief Investment Officer David Villa has been named to Chief Investment Officer magazine's Power 100 list. David is No. 12 on the list which ranks investment leaders based on fund size, tenure, talent development, collaboration and innovation. David's name has appeared on each Power 100 list since Chief Investment Officer magazine's first list was released in 2012.

Having worked in investment management since 1992, David joined SWIB in 2006 as chief investment officer. He obtained his B.A. in economics from Princeton University; M.A. in economics and Latin American studies from Stanford University; and MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant license and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Chief Investment Officer magazine provides the latest news, opinion and research focusing on the overarching investment issues affecting public and corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, healthcare capital pools and sovereign wealth funds.
